Luciana Paoluzzi and Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the daughter of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) as well as Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress to Benito Mussolini). Her siblings aren't known. Luciana has graduated from her local high-school in 1955 and studied naval engineering in Milan, at the Scientific Academy of Milan. Luciana as the sole female student in the class, was the first to be a graduate. Following two years of modeling, she got a role in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her first wife. They completed Return to the Peyton Palace following their wedding in 1960. They had a son named Charles born on 13 June 1961 but divorced a year after his birth and Luciana was granted custody. Luciana was involved in a romantic relationship with Tony Athony between 1962 and the year 1970. He is an actor/producer who had the idea to create and write this Spaghetti Western hybrid based on her role as Green Slime.
