Ina Garten is an American author of cookbooks on cooking and Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002, has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget documents. She initially adored the intellectual challenge that came with her work, but she soon began to lose enthusiasm. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. The store was very successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to sell it. Then she began writing her first cookbook. After that, several cookbooks were published and she also contributed to magazine articles. The Food Network TV show also made its debut, and was a huge hit. She also sells a range of items ranging from cooking materials to equipment and storage containers. Ina herself, a self-taught chef and has not attended an institution for cooking or an establishment. She's known for her easygoing way of making food and hosting. Some of her best known recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
